Let’s celebrate Eco Modern Flats’ 10th birthday with a song, some stats, and a good old before-and-after!
She’s Playing our Song
Fayetteville singer-songwriter Shannon Wurst wrote this song for Eco’s ribboncutting in 2011, and we love it even more today. It’s recorded on her album Green and Growing: Roots Music for Eco Kids, available on shannonwurst.com.

Eco’s First Decade By the Numbers
People have lived in a healthy home at Eco Modern Flats
Tons of post-consumer waste has been recycled that would have otherwise been landfilled
Railcars full of coal - equivalent to the amount of greenhouse gas Eco Modern Flats has conserved
Million gallons of potable water saved, compared to usage the year before renovation
How does your (rain) garden grow?
The rain garden improves water quality in the Beaver Lake/White River watershed by slowing and absorbing stormwater runoff and filtering pollutants. Each summer, the native grasses and flowers grow tall, welcoming residents home.
